Susan Benner is the associate dean for professional licensure and director of the Graduate School of Education. She also serves as a professor of early childhood special education. She has been an institutional representative to the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education for many years and is the past president of the Tennessee Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. She has published four books on special education and early childhood development, including, Promising Practices for Elementary Teachers: Make No Excuses.
