Rosalind Hackett studies the religions of Africa, especially Pentecostalism. She works extensively in Nigeria and publishes on Muslim-Christian conflict. She founded the Jazz for Justice Project in 2005 to promote the use of music and the arts in rebuilding the lives of youth in war-torn Northern Uganda. The project also aims to help UT students discover a synergy between international learning, service, and career development.
