Peter Solies has spent more than three decades studying, simulating and even flying cutting-edge aircraft. His expertise ranges from performance and design issues to safety and control and even the material that the aircraft is made out of itself. He spent time in the West German Air Force, piloting advanced aircraft and gaining more than 1300 hours of flight time. He is a senior member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics and NASA's American Socieity for Engineering Education Summer Faculty Fellowship.
