Nick Geidner is an associate professor of journalism. He founded and directs the Medal of Honor Project, an award-winning service-learning collaboration between UT's School of Journalism and Electronic Media and the 2014 Medal of Honor Convention. Geidner, who came to the university in 2011, earned a doctorate in mass communication from Ohio State University. Before moving to academia, he worked at a television station and created an online entertainment guide in Youngstown, Ohio. He also created and produced an Emmy-nominated children's television show called Homework Express.
