Nicholas Nagle is an expert on surveys and the history, science, and policies of the US Census Bureau. He is an associate professor of geography and a joint faculty affiliate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He is best known for his work on developing new methods for generating predictions and maps from survey data. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the US Census Bureau, and the US Forest Service. He also serves as an advisor to the US Census Bureau through the National Academy of Sciences.
