Jeff Fairbrother is the director of the university's Motor Behavior Lab, an associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies, interim associate dean for academic and faculty affairs in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, and author of Fundamentals of Motor Behavior. His research examines factors that influence motor performance and learning, and the nature of skilled movements. He also studies the characteristics of skilled performers and the development of sport expertise. His work has addressed a wide range of movement issues, including sports, injury prevention and rehabilitation, child product safety, military training, and dental education.
