H.L. (Lee) Dodds is recognized worldwide as an expert on energy, especially electricity production and usage. He is a retiree of both the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee (UT), although he still teaches a short course at UT entitled "Energy Choices and Consequences." He served as Head of the UT Nuclear Engineering Department during the last 15 years of his 35-year career at UT and led the department to be ranked in the Top Ten Nuclear Engineering Programs in the U.S.
