David Matthews specializes in bringing design thinking techniques to transdisciplinary projects and the use of technology in design education. He has published numerous works that focus on the use of Internet communications technology in the design studio, innovative teaching techniques for integrating technology in the design process, and the use of digital modeling and making with materials. Matthews and his students were co-collaborators for Chicago Architecture: Ten Visions, an installation at the Art Institute of Chicago.
