Chancellor's Professor Carol Tenopir is the director of research for the College of Communication and Information and director of the Center for Information and Communication Studies. Her areas of teaching and research include information access and retrieval, electronic publishing, and the information industry. She is the author of five books and winner of the American Society for Engineering Education's Engineering Libraries Division 2005 Best Publication Award with Donald W. King. She has published more than 200 journal articles, is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, and for twenty-eight years wrote the "Online Databases" column for Library Journal.
