Amadou Sall is lecturer in the Department of Africana Studies. His expertise includes minority student success, war, violence and AIDS, and study abroad transformations. Sall has been a leader in promoting diversity and multicultural understanding both within and outside the classroom. Working with several other faculty members he published the article "Experiences of Struggling African American Students at a Predominantly White University" in Research in Schools in 2007. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to obtain first-personal accounts of the experience of struggling Black undergraduates in a southern flagship state university.
